Combining metal with wood in furniture awoke my curiosity and interest in metals, which has become a passion. I love how cold, hard and flat material can be transformed with a little heat, a bit of physical effort and skill, into different forms. Also the infinite colours that can be achieved through different techniques, makes metal work for me, a world of endless design possibilities and I can't wait to explore the next one.

I was brought up by the sea around Gisborne and many of my marine themed metal works are inspired by my love for the sea and snorkelling while living in Australia.
